Wish to use electronic touch sensors that are extremely low powered and have extremely fast response time? As a breakthrough in human input device, using ATLab¡¯s proprietary impedance matching technology, this full-digitally implemented DCC not only enables an easy realization of navigation and access to contents in portable devices such as mobile phone, multimedia players and PDA¡¯s, but also is able to replace various types of mechanical switches and buttons used in so many electronic products.

ATA2501 consumes extremely low current (120uA) in active mode and has 2 msec of response time, fastest among other similar devices.

ATA2501 can detect up to 12 touch sensing inputs and these are transferred to MCU (Micro-Controller Unit) for further translations and actions.



ATA2501 is so sensitive that touch pad can be as small as 1mm by 1mm. The pad size will depend on how thick the material you want to cover the PCB.

Automatic Impedance Calibration (AIC), another ATLab¡¯s patented technology, ensures consistent sensitivity that can be fluctuated not only by external temperature and humidity, but also by production deviations between produced PCBs as well as between production lots. As shown in the above figure, by setting proper value of ? you can maintain consistent sensitivity regardless of the external environment changes. A software tool kit is provided for you to adjust several parameters so that you can have more design flexibility and reduce PCB design iterations to have optimal settings.
